Hinsons – The Hinsons Vintage 1970’s – DVD
The Singing Hinson Family began it’s singing career in 1967 in Freedom, California. They were performing for local churches and revivals, but they soon found themselves touring all over the United States.
The group recorded one of their most popular songs in 1971, “The Lighthouse”. From 1973-1980 they were the co-hosts of the popular gospel music show The Gospel Singing Jubilee.
After disbanding in 1988, the group reunited one more time for their 1992 One More Hallelujah tour. Unfortunately, the tour was cut short with the diagnosis of brother Kenny Hinson with kidney cancer. he passed away in 1995 at the age of 41.
Kenny was inducted in the SGMA in 2004 and the entire group was inducted in 2006.
